Danielle Corbie- Archey has been serving in public-school education for over 20 years. She began as a Special Education and an ESL teacher. Her main concern has always been with special populations, and the development of curriculum and individualized education plans to assist with closing the achievement gap. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the University of Texas in Arlington. She earned her Masters of Education with an emphasis in Special Education at Southern Mississippi University. She is currently a full time student in the education PhD program at Texas Southern University.
Ms. Archey has more than 20 years in special education field work, ranging from instructional support, to evaluating and diagnosing cognitive disabilities. She is very knowledgeable about music therapy for students with special needs. She has provided district-wide workshops for faculty and staff covering integration of individualized education plans in inclusion lesson plans, as well as, implementation of modifications and accommodations in the classroom.
