An active performer, composer, and teaching artist, Jeffrey Leung has over 9 years of experience in music teaching, program innovation, and syllabus development.
Jeffrey is a native of Hong Kong, China. Jeffrey moved to Houston to study law at South Texas College of law, Houston in 2016. Before moving to Houston, Jeffrey received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Brigham Young University-Idaho under the direction of Professor Brandon Bascom and Michael McQuay.
While he was in college, Jeffrey performed for numerous campus events and devotionals; he also played for the Jazz Lab Band, Collegiate Singers, Men’s Choir Women’s Choir and Women’s Glee. To contribute to society, Jeffrey also maintained and is a frequent performer of local events.
In 2014, Jeffrey launched Mighty Musicians LLC and enjoys an extensive and active musical career- maintaining a large teaching studio and is a frequent performer of local events, guest speaker of local musical workshops.
His students are frequent prize-winners in music competitions. Jeffrey is a member of Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) and is a scholarship recipient of the National Piano Foundation.
Jeffrey started learning the piano at the age of 6 and the cello at the age of 10. As a young musician, he toured Malaysia as a cellist in 2007 and won different awards with the Hong Kong musical festival.
Jeffrey loves working with families with young children. He enjoys strengthening family bonds while introducing children to a lifelong love and appreciation for music.
