Miguel is a Venezuelan musician currently finishing his music degree at the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music. He got started in music at the young age of 6 years old, singing in school choirs. When he was 9, he began playing the saxophone, performing with school marching bands and concert bands. He then learned a number of other instruments, such as piano, guitar and ukelele. He has been a part of summer programs such as Lingua e Canto in Sant’Angelo in Vado, Italy and Le Chiavi di Bel Canto, part of the Texas Music Festival. During his time at the Moores Opera Center, he has been a part of 9 fully staged productions. Roles recently performed include Geronimo in Il Matrimonio Segreto, Rambaldo in La Rondine and Prince Yashvin in David Carlson’s Anna Karenina. He has performed in Venezuela, Canada, The United States, Italy and Germany.
