A Southern boy at heart, Ryan grew up in Mississippi where he received his first music lessons on the piano from his mother. After having a solid music foundation, he moved on to learn the violin, oboe, and organ all before the age of 18. In high school he sang and danced in show choir and served as drum major of the high school marching band. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi to receive a degree in Music Education (BME) and traveled to the University of California Los Angeles for a fellowship to study Organ Performance.
Ryan has taught since 2008 across Mississippi, California, and Texas serving as a private instructor, music educator, and band director. His travels have granted him experience in various instruments and techniques working with development in Early Childhood all the way to adults. On top of his classical training and education, Ryan holds two state teaching licenses, Suzuki String Program Certification (SAA), and holds memberships in the American Guild of Organists and Band Masters Association. He has also performed in various venues working as a Silent Theater Organist, violinist for various musical orchestras, solo/chamber recitals, and volunteers as a lobby pianist at Houston Methodist Hospital.
