Noe’s first taste of performing in a band was in a classical setting. It started when he joined the symphonic band in middle school. Then in high school, he became part of the Nimitz High School Wind Ensemble and the Roaring Cougar Marching Band!. Taking on roles as Section Leader and Woodwind Principle; Loyalty, Dedication, Teamwork, and Leadership were some of the many values that were engrained during this time. Since then, Noe strives to teach the next generation of musicians these values as his mentors did.
After high school, Noe then joined the Symphonic Band and Jazz Band while at North Harris Community College. Participating in many concerts and Jazz Festivals around Texas and Louisiana. All the while pursuing his own ambitions by playing with several groups and venues in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Many of which consisted of Acoustic Acts, but he also supported several groups as a saxophonist or rhythm guitarist.
During his time at the University of Houston’s School of Dance and Theatre, Noe used his skills and experience to incorporate music into movement and storytelling for the stage. As a member of the Student Organization, Unheard Voices, Noe’s musical acts were used during stage acts, in-between acts, and intermissions. This led to working as a Musical Director on several productions; which then led to similar work with several local Theatre companies in Houston. This included coordinating and producing musical numbers to having a live band perform as part of the shows; part of the story. Very fun stuff!
